EOPC - Interlock (Safety) Shutter

The SH-10 laser safety shutter consists of a blade mounted on a rotary solenoid with a limited rotation angle. When the shutter is powered, the blade moves to the "ON" position and clears the path for the laser beam. When the power is turned off, the return spring of the shutter moves the blade to the "OFF" position and blocks the laser beam. The SH-20 laser safety shutter consists of two single laser safety shutters on a single mount.
Shutters are stock item.
Shutters are RoHS compliant.

Damage threshold:
For the SH-10:
The standard blade is 0.01” thick black anodized aluminum, which withstands 100 mW/mm.sq. with a limit of 2 Watts of total power.
For the SH-20:
The standard blade is 0.02” thick black anodized aluminum, which withstands 100 mW/mm.sq. with a limit of 2 Watts of total power.

Please call to discuss options for X-Ray and a more powerful laser beams. Other blade materials or thickness are available: bare aluminum blades, tantalum blades, reflective blades, mirrors mounted on the blades (enhanced aluminum coated, gold coated, silver coated, etc.) and gold plated blades. You can also supply your mirrors, gratings or other attachments.

Expected Lifetime: The standard laser safety shutter offers 2 million cycles minimum. The long life laser safety shutter (-L) offers operation of 50 million cycles minimum.

Model SH-10 comes with two studs in the rear for mounting
Model SH-10-M comes with a mounting plate that allows horizontal and vertical mounting.
Models SH-10-M-L and SH-20-L shutters come with a mounting plate and offer long life operation: 50 million cycles minimum.
Models SH-10-MP and SH-20 shutters can be mounted to an optical table
Models SH-10-MP-L and SH-20-L shutters can be mounted to an optical table and offer long life operation: 50 million cycles minimum
Models SH-10-L and SH-20-L shutters offer long life operation: 50 million cycles minimum.
Models SH-10-B and SH-20-B shutters are boxed with a through hole for laser light.
Models SH-10-B-L and SH-20-B-L shutters are boxed with a through hole for laser light and offer long life operation: 50 million cycles minimum.

The following drivers are offered:

DSH-10-110V or DSH-10-220V is a cased driver 5.3" x 5.3" x 2" operating from a line voltage of 110Vac or 220Vac.

The DSH-10-5-PC is a PC board level driver for the SH-10-5 shutter that needs 5Vdc and 12Vdc (200mA).

When ordering without a driver, please indicate working voltage requirements: 5V, 12V or 15V, or 24V.
